The Arizona Avenue fields are located in northeast Atlanta, not far from Candler Park and Little Five Points. The site has portable restroom facilities and a small concession stand.

Directions come from a mix of Internet sources and have not yet been verified by our group.

Directions from United Quest Park:

Driving time is approximately 50 minutes from United Quest Park. Driving directions:

  1. Take I-75 South into downtown Atlanta. I-75 and I-85 will merge together as you enter Atlanta.

  2. Take exit 248C: International Blvd. / SR 101 / Freedom Pky / Carter Center. This is a long exit ramp which will eventually merge with Freedom Parkway heading east. Once you're on Freedom Parkway, get in the far right lane.

  3. Turn right at a traffic light onto Boulevard. Yes, the name of the road is "Boulevard." (Our map isn't clear, but Freedom Parkway may have an exit that takes you onto Boulevard.)

  4. Take Boulevard south for about 0.5 miles, passing the MLK Center during this stretch. After you pass the MLK Center and Edgewood Avenue, Boulevard's lanes will separate. Get in the right lane at the separation.

  5. Turn left at stop sign onto Decatur Street SE and go a little over 2 miles. During this stretch, Decatur Street becomes Dekalb Avenue NE.

  6. Turn right onto Arizona Avenue NE. Landmarks: Raging Burrito, Honor Thy Auto Billboard. The fields are at end of the street on the left.

Directions from Metro North Park:

Driving time is approximately 35 minutes from Metro North Park. Driving directions (includes the GA 400 toll road):

  1. Turn left onto Paper Mill Road and go 0.2 miles to Johnson Ferry Road.

  2. Turn right onto Johnson Ferry Road and go 2.6 miles to Roswell Road.

  3. Turn right onto Roswell Road and go 0.9 miles to the I-285 interchange.

  4. Turn left to merge onto I-285 East.

  5. Stay on I-285 for about a mile, then take exit #27 and merge onto GA 400 South.

  6. GA 400 will merge with I-85, which then merges with I-75. Once you're on the I-85 / I-75 downtown connector, follow the directions on the left starting with step #2.
