Embroidery options
Our uniform shirts are numbered. Other items (backpack, practice shirts, shorts, warm-ups) aren't numbered and will look the same for all players. We recommend labeling clothing items by using a Sharpie or laundry marker to note your daughter's initials and uniform number on internal tags / labels. You can customize backpacks with a luggage tag, colored wrist strap, ribbon, small stuffed animal, etc. This will help minimize lost & found situations. You may also choose to have warm-ups and/or backpacks embroidered, or uniform numbers applied to the practice shirts.
Embroidery vendors: The following shops have done work for NASA families in the past and have received good reviews.
East Cobb area: Monograms, 4400 Roswell Rd Suite 141, Marietta, 30062. It is in the LA Fitness shopping center next to Quiznos near the intersection of Johnson Ferry and Roswell Road (Hwy 120). Please tell them you are with the NASA Academy U10 Girls group so they know the specifics.
August 2010: We've gotten word that this shop is no longer open, but a former employee is doing the same work from her home. We're checking into this; if she's able to do NASA work, we'll post an update in late August.
Woodstock area: Hometown Threads, 3342 Trickum Rd, Woodstock, 30188 (corner of Trickum and Hwy 92 in the shopping center next to the Wendy’s, across the street from Publix).
Embroidery specifics: When getting items embroidered or numbered, please follow these guidelines.
Warm-up jacket: left chest area (below the NASA logo)
Warm-up pants: left front pocket area (below the Adidas logo)
Backpack: most popular spots are on the sling strap above the small pocket or near the base of the strap, but follow your own fashion sense
Practice shirts: small number on the left shoulder (nothing on the back; we don't want girls wearing their practice shirt as a substitute for their game-day uniform shirt)
