2011 NASA Classic tournament - August 20-21: (August 15)  We start the season by playing in the NASA Classic tournament the weekend of August 20-21. Link: tournament rosters and schedule links

2011 Friendship Cup champions: (May 23)  We congratulate NASA team Independence for winning the U11 Girls Blue division championship! The girls started with two ties, then had a big win to qualify for the championship. The grabbed the title with a 1-0 in scorching conditions. Congratulations girls!

Saturday May 7th - Academy World Cup: (May 8)  We thank the 70+ girls who played in the Academy "World Cup" event! Each team included players from NASA's U12, U11 and U12 Academy programs. We had a huge turn-out, the weather was wonderful, fields were nice, and the skills and teamwork got better each game as the girls adapted to new teammates. A special thanks to the U12 and U11 girls who served as team captains: Brittany, Caroline, Chloe, Erin, MK, Sophie, Sydney and Kaitlyn. You girls did a great job organizing your teams and making the younger girls feel welcome! Video links: formal team presentations / teams salute the fans / champions celebrate

Marrowthon - April 30th: (April 27)  All Academy players are invited to participate in the NASA Marrowthon event on Saturday, April 30th. The event supports the Be The Match Foundation / National Marrow Donor Program. Link: Soccer Marrowthon

We're scheduled to play from 7-8 PM at Kell High School. We will form teams from the players that show up. It is not mandatory, but a good cause and a lot of fun for the girls. We will wear our practice jerseys and blue shorts for Marrowthon. Please be there by 6:30 PM so we can get organized.

Atlanta Beat seeks host families: (February 5)  The Atlanta Beat is seeking host homes and families for players during the 2011 season, which will run from the beginning of March until the end of August. The Beat will provide four season tickets in return. Link: more details The web link currently doesn't include contact info, so we suggest going through the Beat's "Contact Us" page to follow-up.

Spring season training starts Feb. 9: (February 8)  We start spring season training sessions on Wednesday, February 9th. The first week has us at Metro North on the turf field on Wednesday, Feb. 9th, 5:00 - 6:15 PM, and at Quest Park field #8 on Thursday, Feb. 10th, 5:30 - 6:45 PM. Starting Monday, February 14th, we're on the schedule listed below (same as in the fall). The U10 Academy girls are on the same schedule as us each Monday through Thursday, which expands car-pool options.
