Women's college games: (September 28)  This fall's closest "multiple Quest Athena players now in college" game takes place next Thursday, October 6th at 7:00 PM at Clemson. The Tigers (with Quest player Elizabeth Jobe) host Virginia Tech (with Quest players Mary Elizabeth Newton and Ashley Stinson). There are lots of current Silverbacks coaches and players who plan to attend.

Clemson isn't exactly the next town over (it's about 2-1/2 hours up I-85), but if you're the adventurous type who would like to see our own alumni now playing Division 1 soccer, here's your best chance of the fall.

If you're looking for Division 1 soccer with less time commitment, come out and watch the Kennesaw State Owls (with Quest alumni Whitney Marler), who host Mercer on Saturday, October 1st at 2:00 PM at their on-campus field at the corner of Chastain and Frey Roads.

2003-2004 season:

"Why We Play" (May 17)  The book "Why We Play" is a collection of values and observations gathered by the father of original Quest Athena Academy member Sarah Cullom as a gift to his three soccer-playing children. Written to counter the 'winning is everything' attitude often present in youth sports, "Why We Play" is a reminder that the true measure of success is what a player learns, not what a player's team wins. The book is on sale for $10 at the Q-Store at the Quest concession stand.
