Empoli FC soccer camp (optional): NASA is hosting a camp from the Italian club Empoli FC. The camp runs from June 28th through July 2nd at Metro North Park. This is an optional event that's not part of our regular Academy program, but it should be an excellent opportunity for players to experience training from a different set of coaches. If your daughter has a schedule conflict with her home park's Academy camp, she can attend the Academy camp at the other park instead.
Academy tryouts: Tryouts for next year's U11 Academy programs take place Tuesday, May 26th and Wednesday, May 27th. All current Academy players are invited to return next year without being required to tryout. But if you're in town, we'd like you to attend tryouts to help provide a high level of competition for next year's prospects. Girls who are age 10 as of July 31st, 2009 attend the U11 tryouts.

Academy Winter Workouts: If your daughter would like to keep up with regular training during the winter break, NASA offers its annual Academy Winter Workouts program during December and January. NASA’s Girls’ Director of Coaching, Eric Ritter, will lead the sessions, which are built around developing individual technical skills, and how to apply them to the game through the use of small sided games. The program is offered at two different indoor locations, one near each NASA park. Link: NASA Winter Workouts (scroll down to Academy Winter Workouts)
We start regular training sessions on Monday, February 15th. We have the same practice schedule as in the fall; details are listed below. The U10 girls are on the same schedule as us each Monday and Wednesday, which expands car-pool options.
