The O. C. Hubert soccer complex is located in northwest Cobb County. Look for the red asterisk in the center of the map. This is a new Cobb County park which opened in August, 2008. It's in the middle of a booming commercial area, so there's plenty of shopping or eating choices nearby if you're there for a tournament.

Directions from United Quest Park:

Driving time is approximately 30 minutes from United Quest Park. Driving directions:

  1. Turn right onto Hawkins Store Road, go 1.6 miles to Bells Ferry Road.

  2. Turn left onto Bells Ferry, go 0.3 miles.

  3. Take the entrance ramp on the right for I-575 South. Stay in the entrance lane; it becomes the exit lane for Chastain Road.

  4. Take the first exit, Chastain Road, and turn right at the top of the exit ramp onto Chastain.

  5. Stay on Chastain Road for 3.2 miles. During this stretch, you'll pass Kennesaw State on the right and McCollum Airport on the left. Shortly after you pass the airport, you'll come to a major intersection with US-41 / Cobb Parkway. Get in either of the right turn lanes. There's a skating rink on the left just before the intersection, with a Huddle House on the right at the intersection.

  6. Turn right onto US-41 / Cobb Parkway and go 4.8 miles. When you pass the Super Target on the right, you're close. The entrance to the park is on the right just before Discount Tire. (See potential short-cut below.)

  7. The trip home: When you exit the park, you can only turn right (north) onto Cobb Parkway. If you need to head south, there's a U-turn opportunity at a major intersection about a quarter mile from the exit.

 Directions from Metro North Park:

Driving time is approximately 45 minutes from Metro North Park. Driving directions:

  1. Turn right onto Paper Mill Road and go about 3 miles until Paper Mill ends at Terrell Mill Road.

  2. Turn left at a traffic light onto Terrell Mill and go about 2.2 miles. Terrell Mill becomes Delk Road during this stretch.

  3. Take the entrance ramp on the right for I-75 North. Continue on I-75 until exit #271, Chastain Road.

  4. Turn left onto Chastain Road and go about 2 miles. During this stretch, you'll pass Kennesaw State on the right and McCollum Airport on the left. Shortly after you pass the airport, you'll come to a major intersection with US-41 / Cobb Parkway. Get in either of the right turn lanes. Potential short-cut (requires a short cross-country hike): Turn right into the big shopping center with the Super Target. Head to the back left corner of the shopping center and park along the curb. You'll see the Hubert fields down the hill. You'll have about a 25 yard hike down some uneven hilly terrain covered with weeds before you get to the Hubert playground area, then it's all pavement and stairs from there. The "pros" to this short-cut is that you can take a left turn out of the shopping center back onto US-41 / Cobb Parkway and avoid a potential long queue for a U-turn coming out of Hubert, and you also avoid some bone-jarring speed bumps on the Hubert entry road.
