Driving time ranges from 60-75 minutes from the United clubhouse. There are two popular routes; the new route is longer in mileage, but has less traffic and way fewer traffic lights than the old route, so it is often shorter in driving time.

New route (via I-85):

  1. Take I-75 South to I-285 West (exit 259, labeled Birmingham / Tampa, heading toward the airport). The I-285 exit has 3 lanes; get in the center or left lane to head west.

  2. Stay on I-285 until the exit for I-85 South (a couple of miles past Camp Creek Parkway).

  3. Take I-85 South (toward Columbus) for about 3 miles.

  4. Exit at exit # 64 (old exit # 13): GA Highway 138 / Union City / Jonesboro Road.

  5. Turn left onto Highway 138.

  6. Continue on Highway 138 for 4-½ miles (you'll pass several car dealerships).

  7. Turn right at a traffic light onto Highway 279.

  8. Stay on Highway 279 for 2 miles (you'll pass Evander Holyfield's mansion on the right).

  9. Turn right at a traffic light onto Highway 314.

  10. Stay on Highway 314 for 4-¼ miles. When you see the Kohl's and Lowes' stores on the left side, you're close to your turn.

  11. Turn left at a traffic light onto Banks Road.

  12. Stay on Banks for 2 miles until you reach the intersection of Banks and Highway 54.

  13. Turn right at a traffic light onto GA Highway 54.

  14. Go ¾ mile (you'll see McCurry Park North on the left).

  15. Turn left at a traffic light onto McDonough Road.

  16. The entrance to McCurry Park North is immediately on your left. The entrance to McCurry Park South is ½ mile down McDonough on the right.

Old route (via GA Hwy 85):

  1. Take I-75 South past the airport to exit #237A (old exit #80), GA Hwy 85 South (not I-85).

  2. Go SOUTH on GA Highway 85 for 11 miles (through Riverdale into Fayetteville). This is a dense commercial area that has lots of traffic lights.

  3. You'll come to an intersection with the Banks Crossing Shopping Center and a Taco Bell on the right, and a Piccadilly Cafeteria on the left. Turn LEFT at this intersection onto Banks Road.

  4. Stay on Banks for 1.7 miles.

  5. Turn RIGHT at a traffic light onto GA Highway 54.

  6. Go ¾ mile (you'll see McCurry Park North on the left).

  7. Turn LEFT at a traffic light onto McDonough Road.

  8. The entrance to McCurry Park North is immediately on your left. The entrance to McCurry Park South is ½ mile down McDonough on the right.
