Piedmont Park (Atlanta):
Piedmont Park is located near downtown Atlanta. This is a large
multi-use park that has two soccer fields. There are other events in the park most
weekends, so expect parking to be a hassle. Soccer players are permitted to park free in
the park itself, but parking space is very limited, so we recommend you use the
inexpensive pay lot on 14th Street (about a 5-minute walk from the soccer fields). Bring
your own chairs and snacks or drinks. The park has restroom facilities, but cleanliness
can vary wildly depending on what else is happening in the park that weekend.

Driving time is approximately 45 minutes from the United clubhouse.
Directions:
- Take I-75 South into Atlanta.
- Exit onto the combination 14th Street/10th Street exit (new
exit #250, old exit #102). This is the last exit before I-85 merges into I-75. This exit
is more like an access road than a standard exit ramp.
- Turn left at the first intersection onto 14th street.
- Stay on 14th Street as it crosses West Peachtree Street and
Peachtree Street.
- After you cross Peachtree Street, you'll see Piedmont Park
in front of you. If it's a weeknight game, you should be able to park in Piedmont Park's
free parking lot (see directions below). Or you can choose to park in the pay lot on the
left side of 14th Street (before you get to Piedmont Road).
- Free lot: Piedmont Park has restricted
parking, but they allow soccer players to park in the park itself. Just let the gate
attendant know you're there for a soccer game. To park in the Piedmont Park
"free" lot, follow these directions:
- Stay on 14th Street until it ends at Piedmont Road.
- Turn left onto Piedmont Road.
- Turn right onto Monroe Drive (big intersection after a mile
or two).
- Turn right onto Park Drive (after about a mile).
- Pay lot: If you don't want to take your
chances on the free lot, park in the pay lot on the left side of 14th Street (before you
get to Piedmont Road). Then walk down 14th Street to Piedmont Road, cross Piedmont Road
and enter the park. You'll see the soccer fields straight ahead. Youth games are normally
played on the north field (on the left); adult games are normally played on the south
field (on the right).
